Wakeboarding gains momentum with Austin BabeShredder competition! BabeShredder, the social movement for female board sport athletes, held its largest competition August 8 at Quest ATX cable park in Austin, Texas. With sponsorship from Hyperlite, Rockstar, KIND Snacks, Elevated Clothing and City Surf Fitness, hundreds of spectators came out to cheer on the female riders. Six cash prizes were awarded to winners followed by a sponsor raffle and social hour at the park. The idea first came when we moved our brand from Northwest Montana to Los Angeles in 2010, ironically, right after I (Machi Block) graduated from college myself. We were new to Southern California and we wanted to find a foothold for the brand so that we could continue to grow and reach new audiences. UF Wake Fest 2015 The University of Florida Wakeboarding Team hosted their annual competition WakeFest in April. We've been working with UF Wake Team for the better part of this year, and we're always stoked to see what they're up too as well as check out the wakeboard culture as it grows on a collegiate level in Florida and across the United States. Events like these, put on by individual collegiate wakeboarding teams, keep driving the industry on a very organic level and it's so cool to see the participation continue to grow. Around 40 riders competed and over 700 people showed up to support the event. Overall, it was a huge success that is sure to continue to grow.

Swedish Wakeboarding Lucas Only Event This sweet little edit just dropped of the Lucas Only wakeboarding event held in Västerås Cable Park in Sweden. ELEVATED Clothing team rider Christian Forssten can be seen throwing some massive hammers off the kicker from up above. You've gotta love those drone shots. The event looks like it went off pretty well overall, with a large number of spectators turnout out to cheer on the riders and soak in the Swedish Summer Sun. 1 DAY at RIDE CABLE SE04EP02 with 4amigos ELEVATED Clothing Athlete Norbi Vasko just shared this sick little video on his instagram for all of you to preview, so we figured we'd take the liberty to share it to the masses here. A year ago today, Norbi was off in Hungary shredding with his amigos at Ride Cable Wakepark, and they managed to capture some pretty stylish riding that would bring a smile to anybody's face. These coming weekends mark important days for Elevated Clothing- namely that Saturday, August 1st, and Saturday, August 8th, will be our first events in Australia since officially launching the brand down under at the start of July. It's only fitting that we close out the month with a couple of bangers to kick off what will surely be an amazing year of growth for ELEVATED. Athletes have been waiting in anticipation to see the brand hit the salty shores of Australia all year, and with the first boxes of gear landing a few short weeks ago, we've witnessed somewhat of a feeding frenzy as t-shirts, hoodies, tanks, and crewnecks get swept up just as soon as they appear. Our second wave is enroute and will be arriving just in time for two great events in Australian BXM, and Australian Wakeboarding. Tige MyWake Challenge So far 3 of our ELEVATED athletes have submitted wakeboarding and wakeskate videos for the Tige' My Wake Challenge. We wanted to share these with you, our fans, so that not only can you keep up with what your favorite athletes are up too, but you can better understand the brand culture behind ELEVATED Clothing. It also helps that the more views and more shares these guys get, the better their standing in the competition. Netflix and Chill?... Try Netflix and Shred. When it comes to new slogans, we've all come across a friend or two awkwardly throwing out "netflix and chill." Where did this come from? It seems to have just popped out of nowhere almost overnight, and in a culture that is far too heavily saturated with sexual connotations, pressure, and innuendos, we'd like to just take a second and clear a few things up. Yeah we've all been there... thinking about netflix and chill. They say that guys think about netflix and chill an average once every 7 seconds... That's mental. Every seven seconds we've got movies on our mind... er... sort of.

We've all heard the saying going around, netflix and chill, and if you haven't yet heard it, you've probably seen it trending on social media #netflixandchill or "I thought you said that we were gonna Netflix and chill?" What does "Netflix and Chill" Mean? What's the definition? By now you've probably heard your roommate saying it every 20 minutes and quietly laughing to himself at his cleverness... and you've probably guessed that it doesn't quite mean what it sounds like. Netflix and...? What? Chill, like hang out and watch tv? Nope.
