Qualification for the US Olympic Snowboarding team is based on a series of five events through December and January. In Episode 1 at the first qualifying event, the Dew Tour, Sage lands himself a sixth place finish (as the second highest placing US rider this counts as a second place for qualification). In Episode 2, Sage was at Copper Mountain, Colorado for the second qualification event the Copper Grand Prix.
