Over the past few months, ELEVATED has teamed up with UMass Surf Club to bring our products to their campus and help them grow the exposure of their club. Talk about a group of hard core surfers that live the life, these guys are dedicated to the water day in and day out, pioneering a collegiate surf movement on their campus in the North East.
We’ve been stoked to get connected with them and start a fruitful relationship that we see yielding a lot of fun for years to come. We hear they were also linking up with the UMass Ski and Snowboard Club for their Winter Rail Jam, so we sent over a box of goodies for them to start rocking and promote with, and needless to say, they paid us back in full.
Check out the pictures from the event, and a write-up on the Winter Festival/Rail Jam from their perspective.
The UMass Ski and Snowboard Club’s annual Winter Festival and Rail Jam is the universities only concert and ski/snowboard competition of the year. With over 3,000 attendees and two bands playing in the center of the schools most populated residential area it is truly an awesome time. Surrounding the event are all kinds of vendors from health food companies like Kind Bar, to Monster to Bern Helmets and Amazon. Local companies also came, like Alpinax Drone Services, whose founder also happens to be the UMass Surf Club’s media director. Next to the Alpinax booth was our own set up for the UMass Surf Club.
At our booth we had boards set up a video of our last trip to SurfsUp New Hampshire, and indoor wave pool, and a raffle going to give out Elevated Clothing t-shirts. Here people could hang out, learn what our club is all about, and sign up for our club.
Here’s a little bit about our club: The UMSC strives to provide a community of surfing and surf culture to the students and personnel of the University of Massachusetts, as well as the surrounding community. It is our mission to provide our members with the best experience during club activities and trips, a travel source for coastal trips, and the lowest possible prices on gear and training.
